Who Should Buy This

The Fieldpiece HS33 Expandable Manual Ranging Stick Multimeter is perfect for HVAC and refrigeration professionals. If you need a reliable and easy-to-use tool for measuring electrical values, this multimeter is a great choice. It is ideal for technicians who work on different systems and want a compact device that fits well in their toolkit. Its manual ranging feature gives you control and precision, which is important for detailed troubleshooting and maintenance.

When I first got the Fieldpiece HS33 Expandable Manual Ranging Stick Multimeter, I was curious about how it would handle my HVAC/R work. The size caught my eye immediately — at 11.75 by 2.75 by 6.5 inches, it felt comfortable to hold and easy to carry around. I started by testing its non-contact voltage feature, which was a breeze to use. Just holding the stick near wires gave me quick voltage alerts without touching anything, which felt safe and convenient.

Daily Use

Using the HS33 daily on HVAC systems, I found it really helped speed up my checks. The 400AAC and capacitance testing worked well for the compressors and motors I was working on. One day, while troubleshooting a unit, the high voltage indicator saved me from accidentally touching a live wire. The continuity indicator also made it simple to check connections without pulling out extra tools. It quickly became my go-to device on every job.
