About

Hello, I’m Asif Ur Rahman Adib, an Electrical and Electronic Engineer and a university lecturer in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE). This website is my initiative to share practical, accurate, and safety-focused knowledge on electrical testing, measurement, and instrumentation.

With years of academic involvement and hands-on experience in electrical engineering, I have seen a large gap between textbook theory and real-world use of electrical instruments. Many students, technicians, and even engineers use measuring devices without fully understanding their limitations, safety ratings, or correct operating procedures. This platform exists to bridge that gap.

Why This Website Exists

Electrical testing and measurement devices—such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, clamp meters, insulation testers, and power analyzers—are fundamental tools in laboratories, industries, and fieldwork. However, incorrect usage can lead to:

  • Wrong measurements
  • Damaged instruments
  • Safety hazards and accidents

My goal is to ensure that users not only know how to use these instruments, but also understand:

  • Why a specific device is used
  • How it works internally
  • What its limitations are
  • How to use it safely and correctly

This site is built on engineering principles, not marketing hype.

What You’ll Find Here

On this website, I share content focused on:

  • Electrical testing & measuring instruments
  • Step-by-step usage guides
  • Comparisons between instruments and specifications
  • Common mistakes made by students and professionals
  • Safety standards (CAT ratings, insulation levels, probe safety, etc.)
  • Practical explanations aligned with EEE laboratory and field practices

All reviews and guides are written from an educator’s and engineer’s perspective, prioritizing correctness, safety, and usefulness.

Academic & Professional Background

  • Degree: MSc and BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE)
  • Profession: University Lecturer
  • Areas of Interest:
    • Electrical measurements & instrumentation
    • Practical lab education and Engineering safety
    • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
    • Applied electronics and testing methodologies

My teaching experience strongly influences the way content is presented here—clear, structured, and concept-driven.

Transparency & Recommendations

Some product links on this website may be affiliate links. This means I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
However, I only recommend tools and devices that are technically sound, safe, and suitable for their intended use.

Accuracy and trust are more important to me than promotions.

Who This Website Is For

This platform is designed for:

  • EEE students
  • Engineering graduates
  • Lab instructors
  • Technicians
  • Practicing electrical engineers
  • Serious electronics hobbyists

If you want to measure correctly, work safely, and understand deeply, you’re in the right place.

Final Note

Electrical engineering is not just about connections and readings—it’s about understanding, responsibility, and safety.
Through this website, I aim to make electrical measurement clearer, safer, and more professional for everyone.

Thank you for being here.
